Hi! Welcome to Created By Chell! My name is Michelle Shaffer and I am the designer, owner and person behind Created By Chell. I love finding new styles and designs not to mention new colors and textures of yarn. For me crocheting is my Yoga, my time to myself, a way to decompress and create something beautiful. Handmade jewelry has also become a passion of mine and you will find some pieces available to purchase.
During the Fall of 2016 my Hubby, Bob, placed the idea of opening a shop in my head after several friends and family requested custom orders. By November of 2016 my first shop was opened on Etsy. The original Etsy shop is still open and works in tandem with my online shop. Proudly you can now find my creations to purchase on EBay, Mercari, Facebook and Instagram. Wondering about the name? Well, Chell is my nickname so it seemed a good choice to go with my Creations.
In October of 2021 the shop along with our entire household was relocated from its original location of Mountain Home, Idaho to Jacksonville, North Carolina. My Husband retired and we decided to relocate closer to our family. It was a huge undertaking and shut the shop down for awhile. The move to our new home gave me a dedicated area for the shop and it is up and running better than ever.
